Dr. Juan C. Chavez grew up in Orem, Utah and attended Brigham Young University where he received his degree in Finance from the Marriott School of Management. He then served an LDS mission in the Fresno California Area.
He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After finishing his degrees he undertook a hospital-based residency at the University of Utah Hospital were he was trained in advanced dental and surgical procedures along with sedation. That training and all of the additional training he has taken over the past decade allows him to make the smile of your dreams and ultimately change lives. He practiced in Dallas, Texas before moving to Utah where he happily offers everything from root canals to deep cleanings, veneers, dental implants, teeth whitening, smile design and more.
Dr. Chavez enjoys being outdoors and is an avid mountain biker and skier. Cooking and traveling with his wife and children are his other passions. He believes that having a gentle hand goes a long way in dental care and is committed to providing every patient with excellent dental care.

No problem! Some of our patients don’t have insurance but still choose Platinum Dental for all their dental needs because of our budget-friendly payment options. We work with several financing options including peer lending and CareCredit. No matter what your budget looks like we believe you deserve the dental care you need.
We recommend regular dental exams to prevent dental issues from getting out of hand. The regular visits help us detect issues early on and treat them quickly. Put your dental care first by visiting the dentist every 6 months!

There are plenty of DIY whitening kits out there, and occasionally we will even send home kits with patrons who ask for them, but nothing can compare to the whitening treatments we are able to perform here in the office.
